How we work

GoldenBracelet is run by Celeste Marren, Founder & Editor-in-Chief. A decade following the gold jewelry market across fine, fashion, and artisan segments has given Celeste a working fluency in karat grades, hallmarking standards, and the pricing mechanics that separate lasting value from fleeting trend. These pages are how we work — what we cover, how we make recommendations, what we disclose, and how to flag mistakes.

How we pick what to cover

We start from real reader questions — the ones that keep showing up in search and forum threads but rarely get a straight answer. We avoid hot-take territory and topics where we don't have direct experience.

How we make recommendations

Every recommendation on this site is built from published metal specifications, brand hallmarking disclosures, and patterns drawn from aggregated owner and independent reviewer reports — never from personal ownership or hands-on assessment. Where cost-per-use math favors a higher upfront price, that case is made explicitly.

Affiliate disclosure

Many of our links to retailers earn us a commission if you buy. We disclose this clearly on every page that contains affiliate links. We don't accept payment to feature a specific product. If a cheaper option is the right call, we'll say so.

How we update

We re-check prices, specs, and availability on a regular cadence — the byline timestamp shows the most recent verification pass. When a manufacturer materially changes a product, we revise the article rather than leaving stale information.

Corrections

If you spot something wrong — a price that's drifted, a spec that's outdated, a claim we can't back up — please tell us. We update the page and note the correction.
